Josh Allen’s injury update: The Bills quarterback passes the concussion test against the Jaguars
In their wild-card matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Buffalo Bills scored first, but one of their best players is dealing with an injury scare.
After the Bills‘ scoring drive, quarterback Josh Allen was seen going into the blue medical tent.
On a third-and-six, Allen ran up the middle for two yards before making his way to the medical tent.
Despite being thrown to the ground at the conclusion of the play, the 2024 NFL MVP managed to go off the field by himself.
Allen’s status was not immediately updated by the Bills. The team’s medical personnel spotted Allen standing on Buffalo’s sidelines shortly after his examination.
According to Tracy Wolfson of CBS Sports, the independent neurologist on staff for Sunday’s game examined Allen for a concussion.
When the Bills have the ball again, he will be able to return because he passed the NFL’s concussion protocol.
If Allen is unable to play for whatever reason, the Bills‘ backup quarterback, Mitchell Trubisky, will be called upon to start.
