The first step in the procedure is registering to enter a lottery for a time slot to buy tickets for all 2028 Olympic sports, which will start at $28.
According to LA28, around 14 million tickets will be issued for the Olympics and Paralympics, surpassing the 12 million tickets issued for the Olympics in Paris.
Make a profile and register for the ticket draw starting on Wednesday. The chance to purchase tickets within a time slot that is chosen at random will be given to registrants.

According to LA28, residents of the Los Angeles area and those in the Oklahoma City region—where softball and canoe slalom are held—who sign up for the ticket draw will have an opportunity to reserve a time slot during a unique early-access window.
If you sign up for the ticket draw by March 18, the residents’ early purchase window will run from April 2 to April 6.
For the California events, you must have a zip code that corresponds to a credit card billing address in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, or Ventura counties in order to qualify for the residents’ early access.
A Canadian or Cleveland County address is necessary in Oklahoma.
The organizing committee has not yet announced a date, but full ticket sales will begin later in 2026. Additionally, purchase regulations, including potential ticket limits, have not been disclosed.
When are the Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028?

Two days before the Opening Ceremony, on July 12, the tournament will begin with field hockey, basketball, rugby sevens, water polo, handball, and cricket.
Day 1, the competition’s first full day, is July 15. Track and field and swimming will switch their regular schedules in 2028, adding a variation to the program.
Swimming will take place in SoFi Stadium during the second week of the Olympic calendar, while track and field will take place at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum during the first week.
The last weekend will still remain the date of the marathons.
On Day 1 on Venice Beach, the first triathlon medal will be given out. With 16 gold and bronze team sports events and 19 individual medal events, July 29, or Day 15, will be the busiest day on the podium.

There are 22 more medal events in the 2028 calendar than in Paris 2024 (351).
Artistic gymnastics, athletics (4×100 mixed gender relay), golf, compound bow archery, coastal rowing, beach sprint, and table tennis are among the new mixed team competitions for 2028.
At a later time, the new artistic gymnastics mixed team competition format will be decided upon and made public.
A new women’s boxing weight class, an enlarged 3×3 basketball court, more medal events in swimming and sport climbing, and extensions to the women’s soccer and water polo events are also part of the medal competition.
In 2028, flag football will debut at the Olympics.
