According to audio taken from LiveATC.net, controllers and pilots at the airport can be heard discussing poor visibility and deicing minutes before the disaster, though it's not immediately apparent who is speaking to whom. On Bangor's Runway 33, a controller gives the pilot the all-clear to take off. Almost two minutes later, a controller loudly radios, "All traffic has stopped on the field!" On the field, all traffic has stopped. Shortly after, another controller can be heard stating, "Aircraft upside down." We have an inverted passenger plane. After then, the airport is closed; however, emergency vehicles are permitted to use the airfield. Later, a controller reports that they know there are "three crew and possibly five passengers" on board.
